Northrop Grumman Space Systems—Launch and Missile Defense Systems has an exciting career opportunity for a Sr Principal Software Engineer (GUI) to join our team of skilled and diverse professionals. This role, based in Colorado Springs, CO, or Schriever Space Force Base in CO, is crucial in supporting the U.S. President, the Secretary of Defense, and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, and operational levels. Relocation assistance is not provided for this position, as it requires on-site work with no remote options available.

  • Support the Global User Interface (GUI) team for the C2BMC product.
  • Provide hands-on experience with DoD integration processes, Agile and DevOps methodologies, and automated test tools.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to change.
  • Apply principles, theories, and concepts in the field to provide solutions to complex problems.
  • Interact frequently with internal and external customers to provide solutions to complex technical issues.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a STEM discipline preferred and 8 years of related experience, or a Master's degree in a STEM discipline and 6 years experience, or a PhD and 4 years of experience, or 12 years of related experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Current, active in-scope DoD-issued Secret security clearance at the time of application.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 10% to support business needs.
  • Recent experience with Java or C++ software development, software testing, and software integration.
  • A current and active in-scope DoD-issued Top Secret security clearance with eligibility to be cleared at SCI clearance.
  • Previous internship as a software engineer.
  • Experience with Eclipse, Git, Jenkins, Maven, Jira, and Confluence.
  • Experience with using, developing software, and creating scripts on Linux.
  • Full-stack web development experience, including expertise with Angular, Cesium, JWT Authentication, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and Node.js.
