The Sr. Principal Product Engineer role at Cadence involves working within the Digital and Signoff Group (DSG) to develop software tools for advanced chip design platforms.   • Partner with R&D and fellow engineers on advanced nodes, features, and methodologies to support and improve std-cell offerings.
  • Engage with customers to understand their needs and provide solutions.
  • Run competitive benchmarks and develop flows for customer solutions.
  • Debug customer problems and propose effective solutions.
  • Utilize automation skills to streamline processes using Tcl, Python, Perl, and shell scripting.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering (EE).
  • 5+ years of experience in IP characterization and modeling expertise.
  • Deep understanding of different Liberty formats such as NLDM, CCS, ECSM, LVF, EM.
  • Hands-on experience with industry-standard simulation engines, preferably Spectre.
  • Understanding of statistics, Monte Carlo, and process variation at lower nodes (7nm, 5nm).
  • Strong debugging skills to address customer issues.
  • Experience with Liberate software.
