Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking an experienced MS Exchange Systems Administrator to join its Classified Solutions team. This position will be located in Annapolis Junction, MD and will require the selected candidate to work on-site, full-time, at our Annapolis Junction campus - this is not a remote work opportunity.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree with 10 years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor's degree with 8 years of relevant experience, or a Master's Degree with 6 years of relevant experience, or a PhD with 4 years of relevant experience; a High School Diploma or equivalent with 12 years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a completed degree.
  • Experience operating under and managing systems within current applicable information systems compliance standards.
  • Candidates must have a current DoD Top Secret level security clearance (adjudicated within the last 5 years) or must be enrolled in the Continuous Evaluation (CE) Program.
  • The selected candidate must be SCI eligible, and the required security clearance must be maintained as a condition of continued employment.
  • The selected candidate must agree to submit and successfully complete a polygraph examination as a condition to retain access to special program(s), and as a condition of continued employment.
  • The selected candidate must have the ability to obtain and maintain access to Special Programs as a condition of continued employment.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the administration of Microsoft Exchange servers, including installation, configuration, and maintenance.
  • Monitor and optimize the performance of Exchange systems to ensure high availability and reliability.
  • Implement and manage security measures to protect email systems from threats and ensure compliance with industry regulations.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex issues related to email delivery, client access, and server performance.
  • Develop and manage backup and disaster recovery plans for Exchange environments.
  • Plan and execute upgrades and migrations to newer versions of Exchange or cloud-based solutions like Office 365.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, processes, and procedures.
  • Work with network and systems administrators to integrate Exchange with other IT infrastructure components.
  • Develop and maintain technical processes and procedures as needed.
