Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) is seeking a Mission Assurance Engineer 4 located in our San Diego Rancho Carmel facility ! This is not a remote position.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) related field AND a minimum of 8 years of experience OR MS with 6 years of experience OR PhD with 4 years of experience.
  • Experience interfacing with suppliers, customers, work associates/teams, and/or management.
  • Experience with Root Cause and Corrective Action tools such as; Ishikawa, FMEA, 5-Why, etc.
  • Experience with FAI (First Article Inspection) background
  • Experience with MRB (Material Review Board) standards.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite skills - Project Management
  • Experience with ISO 9001 / AS9100 Quality Management System certification process.
  • Ability to obtain a Department of Defense (DOD) Secret Clearance
  • US Citizenship

Nice To Haves

  • Active Department of Defense (DoD) Secret clearance
  • Experience with quality engineering, inspection methods, production control, manufacturing operations, product test & evaluation, reliability, root cause analysis, defect analysis, control of nonconforming material, product sell off, shipping and product support as they apply to quality.
  • Lean/Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification to help drive continuous improvement
  • CAM/Earned Value certification/experience
