Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking Sr Principal DevOps Engineer – 11724-1. This position will be located in Belleview, NE, Roy, UT, or Huntsville, AL and will support the Sentinel program.

Requirements

  • 8 Years with Bachelors in relevant field of study; 6 Years with Masters; 4 Years with PhD; or in lieu of degree, and additional 4 years of related experience.
  • Must be a US Citizen and have an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with an ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time.
  • IAT Level II certification (e.g. Security+ CE) or ability to obtain within 6 months.
  • At least 5 years of experience with build tools and package managers such as CMake, Make, npm, Maven, pip, dnf, NuGet, Gradle or MSBuild.
  • At least 5 years of experience building software in C, C++, C#, Golang, JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, Python or similar language.
  • At least 2 years of experience developing and implementing CI/CD Pipelines.
  • At least 2 years of experience using Linux (RHEL preferred) and Microsoft operating systems.
  • At least 2 years of experience with Static Application Security Testing tools such as Fortify, Coverity, CodeSonar or SonarQube.
  • At least 1 year of experience with container technologies such as podman, docker or kubernetes.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
  • Strong critical thinking and logical reasoning skills with the ability to solve issues.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
  • Experience working as a software engineer and system administrator.
  • Experience with the DoD DevSecOps Reference Architecture.
  • Experience developing software using Golang.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell or Bash.
  • Experience with automation tools such as Ansible, Puppet or Chef.
