Northrop Grumman’s Aeronautics Systems sector is seeking a Sr. Principal Electronic Warfare System (EWS) Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals in defining the future. This position will be located in Melbourne, FL. The Sr. Principal Electronics and Payload Engineer reports to the Electronic Warfare System (EWS) Lead.

Requirements

  • Must have a Bachelor’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university AND 8 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering; OR a Master’s degree in a STEM discipline from an accredited university AND 6 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering; or a Ph.D. AND 4 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering.
  • Active DoD Secret Clearance.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access (PAR/SAP) required to start.
  • Knowledge of Electronic Warfare and/or Electromagnetic principles.
  • Knowledge/experience in Systems Engineering.
  • Effectively demonstrate understanding of fundamental RF principles.

Responsibilities

  • Support any stage of the aircraft system life cycle activity such as preliminary design studies, primary design analysis, and integrated system design analysis.
  • Have expertise in electronics systems design, integration, and testing, specifically focused on payload systems.
  • Designing, testing, and troubleshooting electronic systems, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring the successful integration of payloads.
  • Attend internal program, customer and/or supplier technical exchange meetings and/or formal program milestone reviews to provide and/or obtain progress status updates.
  • Support the program manager with cost, schedule, and supplier management.
