This position will be in Dulles, VA . The work will primarily be performed in a SCIF environment, so onsite work is required. Top-Secret clearance required at time of application.

Requirements

The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with quick turnaround times and shifting priorities
Proven troubleshooting skills and willingness to take on unfamiliar challenges
Worked with Factory-in-a-box in both an implementation and sustainment role
Worked with CI/CD pipelines, Gitlab integrations, build tools, and tool chains
A strong background in Linux operating system
Kubernetes cluster experience from both a configuration and utilization perspective as well as infrastructure best practice integration and implementation
U.S. citizenship with current or active Top-Secret clearance required at time of application
Principal DevOps Engineer Bachelor's degree in a STEM field (ideally Computer Science or Engineering) and 5 years of experience; OR a master's degree and 3 years: OR a PhD and 1 year of experience (outside of internships, research projects, etc.) Experience can be considered in lieu of degree. 3+ year(s) of DevOps or software development experience 3+ years in a technical leadership role managing technical objectives and Jira metrics reporting

Responsibilities

Automate cloud native technologies, deploy applications, and provision critical infrastructure
Work with microservices and distributed application architecture, such as containers, Kubernetes, and/or serverless technology
Document procedures used during deployment cycles
Support software teams directly on nightly test and pre-release pipelines, focusing on deployment and software integration
Work with the fellow DevOps team and play a mentoring role to cross-train and grow technical talent across DevOps team and assist in troubleshooting tasks
Implement clean and maintainable infrastructure-as-code that adheres to industry best practices
