About The Position

The Sr. Principal-Commercial (SAP OTC) Applications and Architecture will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing solutions to enable digital transformation and innovation across the function. This senior-level role demands a candidate with a strong background in business processes of the functional domain, architecture principles, technologies that support the business function, and partnership with technical and non-technical stakeholders. This role will collaborate with cross-functional teams to architect, design and ensure development of impactful solutions that optimize processes, for the identified opportunities. This position will work closely with the Digital Partners, Solution Delivery leads, business analysts, consultants, developers, and project managers to understand the business requirements, translate them into architectural design specifications, and ensure the delivery of high-quality solutions. This position will recommend the best solutions to meet the business requirements and will also provide technical guidance, best practices, and troubleshooting support to the executing teams. Position will report to Director - Global Commercial GTM Digital Partner and Data Governance

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum 10 years' hands-on experience in SAP OTC process design, configuration, and implementation, with at least 5 years in a solution or enterprise architecture role.
• Comprehensive knowledge of SAP SD (Sales and Distribution), Billing, Pricing, Credit Management, and integration with FI and MM.
• Demonstrated experience in large-scale SAP S/4HANA transformations or greenfield/brownfield implementations.
• Solid understanding of EDI, IDoc, API-based integrations, and third-party middleware platforms relevant to OTC processes.
• Proven ability to lead workshops, manage a variety of stakeholders, and deliver business value through technology solutions.
• Proven experience applying AI and automation technologies to commercial operations, customer service, or related business processes.
• Expertise in data analytics, process mining, and the use of AI-driven tools to enhance business outcomes.
• Demonstrated experience in stakeholder management, including influencing, negotiating, and communicating effectively with senior leaders, end users, and technical teams.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with fluency in English and the ability to present complex topics to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
• Handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Ability and willingness to travel.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in the food industry and/or pharmaceutical industry is an advantage.
• Professional SAP certifications (e.g., SAP Certified Application Professional - Sales and Distribution) are highly desirable.
• Certification in solutions architecture or related fields is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Translates business and technical requirements into an architectural blueprint to achieve business objectives and documents all solution architecture design and analysis work.
• Works closely with the product owners and product managers to ensure a robust architectural runway that can support future business requirements throughout the product life cycle.
• Understands business drivers and business capabilities (future and current state) and determines corresponding enterprise solution designs and change requirements to drive the organization's targeted business outcomes.
• Leads evaluation, design, and analysis for the implementation of a solutions architecture across a group of specific business applications or technologies based on enterprise business strategy, business capabilities, value-streams, business requirements and enterprise standards.
• Manages and develops the architecture in collaboration with Enterprise Architecture team for a broader scope of projects or products, working closely with application architects that manage and design architecture for a single project or product or initiative.
• Develops a roadmap for the evolution of the enterprise solution portfolio from current to future state, as defined by the solutions architecture.
• Acts as a consultant on a broad range of technologies, platforms, and vendor offerings to drive targeted business outcomes.
• Creates architectural designs to guide and contextualize solution development across products, services, projects, and systems, including applications, technologies, processes, and information.
• Works closely with the program management office (PMO) to ensure the execution of plans corresponds with what is being promised throughout the project or product life cycle.
• Provides consulting support to application architects within agile teams to ensure the project or product is aligned with the overall enterprise architecture.
• Lead the design, configuration, and deployment of SAP Order to Cash (OTC) solutions, ensuring end-to-end process integrity and system performance.
• Engage with business stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements, translating them into technical specifications and solution architectures.
• Manage and cultivate relationships with stakeholders across business units, ensuring a clear understanding of their needs, proactively communicating project status, and addressing concerns to drive successful outcomes.
• Develop and maintain architectural standards and documentation for OTC processes, integrating with related SAP modules such as SD, MM, FI, and third-party systems.
• Provide expert guidance on SAP best practices, process improvements, and digital transformation initiatives within the OTC domain.
• Apply AI technologies and data-driven insights to enhance OTC processes, improve service delivery, and drive commercial growth.
• Oversee the delivery of complex SAP OTC projects, ensuring milestones are met and quality standards are upheld.
• Mentor and guide regional principles and technical teams, fostering knowledge sharing and professional growth.
• Support troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and resolution of critical issues in OTC processes and integrations.
• Stay abreast of the latest SAP innovations, AI advancements, roadmaps, and industry trends, proactively recommending enhancements to business processes and system landscapes.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, security policies, and regulatory requirements throughout the solution lifecycle.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to Digital Partner and Digital technology Solutions Leadership Team on function technology related matters, providing insights and recommendations to inform strategic decision-making.
