The Sr. Preconstruction Manager, also referred to as a Portfolio Manager, is responsible for managing commercial relationships and overseeing the Preconstruction Teams’ project advancement. This role involves developing accurate estimates, proposals, planning, and procurement activities, in close coordination with operations, engineering, and project management teams. The Portfolio Manager ensures developer expectations for design and schedule are met, and projects are optimally planned for successful execution. Strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of design and execution practices, and the ability to foster collaboration are essential. This role leads the preconstruction process, ensuring consistency with company values and project planning, including manpower forecasting, leveraging developer pipelines for volume opportunities, and resolving project challenges. The manager also liaises with contractors, end users, and owners to ensure project scopes and expectations are met before construction begins.
