Sr. Power BI Developer - Hybrid

About the position

The Senior Power BI Developer is responsible for designing, developing, testing and maintaining reporting and analytic solutions for Duly. The Developer will work with Business Analyst and internal and external customers to understand and analyze requirements and develop BI solutions using Microsoft Business Intelligence tools and underlying technologies. The successful candidate must demonstrate critical analysis skills and a clear understanding of BI and Data Warehouse operating environments and related technologies.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and validate reports and dashboards to measure business performance for operational and management purposes.
• Build dashboards and reports on claims, utilization and other managed care data elements from internal and external data sources.
• Effectively use data visualizations and build intuitive data stories and dashboards.
• Deploy and manage Power BI dashboards to production and development environments.
• Develop and maintain model using XMLA end points.
• Develop and maintain business logic using DAX calculations.
• Design databases and data structures.
• Manage performance of models and DAX calculations.
• Code software applications adhering to designs supporting internal business requirements or external user.
• Coordinate activities with data source application owners to ensure integration and data integrity.
• Work with technology leaders and business users to understand business processes, gather and document project requirements and translate them into functional and non-functional specifications.
• Work with business analyst and stakeholder to determine requirements.
• Interface with business units related to managed care, patient financial services as well as payer partners to understand workflows, data collection screens and reporting goals.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, IT, Finance, Statistics or Healthcare Informatics.
• 5 years of experience in Business Analytics or IT.
• Experience on cloud (AWS, Azure/ADF) database environments and working knowledge of SQL.
• Previous healthcare experience is preferred.
• Experience in Microsoft data warehouse and business intelligence solutions including Power BI, SSRS, SSAS (Tabular model) and DAX.
• Knowledge in data modeling and schema design.
• Minimum of 5 years of business analysis and reporting experience preferably in health care finance at a hospital, health system, physician group or managed care setting.
• Advanced knowledge and experience in creating Microsoft Power BI Dashboards and Reports to meet business needs.
• Experience in OLAP design and semantic layers is a plus.
• Excellent communication and facilitation skills.
