About The Position

Togetherwork is seeking a highly strategic, execution-focused Sr. Portfolio Manager / Chief of Staff to the Chief Product Officer (CPO) to help scale and operationalize our GM, Product & Design organization. This is a high-visibility role that serves as the CPO’s right hand—owning product operating cadence, portfolio governance, and execution rigor across a complex, multi-product SaaS environment. You will ensure that priorities are clearly defined, initiatives are well-coordinated, and commitments are delivered in alignment with company-wide objectives. This role is ideal for a seasoned operator who thrives in ambiguity, excels at influencing without authority, and is energized by building scalable systems that enable teams to deliver consistently at scale.

Requirements

  • 5–8+ years of experience in portfolio management, product operations, management consulting, or Chief of Staff type roles.
  • Proven success operating in complex, multi-product SaaS or technology environments.
  • Experience supporting senior or executive leaders in highly cross-functional organizations.
  • Demonstrated ownership of planning, execution, and delivery at scale.
  • Strong understanding of product lifecycle management and portfolio planning practices.
  • Experience implementing roadmapping, KPI tracking, and investment prioritization frameworks.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with executive presence.
  • Ability to bridge strategic vision with tactical execution.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration across Product, Design, Engineering, and Business teams.
  • Analytical, data-informed approach to prioritization and decision-making.
  • Growth-oriented, proactive, and energized by building scalable systems.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and creating structure where none exists.
  • High ownership, accountability, and follow-through.
  • Passionate about enabling product teams to deliver meaningful outcomes.
  • Excited to collaborate in person with peers and leaders in our Austin HQ 2–3 days per week.

Responsibilities

  • Own and drive the GM, Product & Design operating rhythm, including:
  • Annual product roadmap planning
  • Product investment proposal reviews
  • Quarterly commitments and delivery reporting
  • Partner with the CPO and senior leaders to translate strategy into executable plans.
  • Ensure portfolio-level alignment across priorities, timelines, and dependencies.
  • Create clear visibility into initiative health, risks, and outcomes.
  • Design, implement, and scale product operations frameworks, tools, and governance models.
  • Standardize planning, reporting, and execution practices across 30+ software products.
  • Define and operationalize KPIs, delivery metrics, and portfolio dashboards.
  • Improve predictability, accountability, and decision-making across teams.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the CPO, helping manage priorities and leadership agendas.
  • Partner closely with GMs, Product VPs, Design leaders, and Engineering leadership.
  • Influence outcomes across teams without direct authority.
  • Communicate complex information clearly to executive and senior stakeholder audiences.
  • Support hiring and onboarding of delivery managers and execution-critical roles.
  • Lead integration of new acquisitions into core product processes, tooling, and standards.
  • Drive special projects and scaling initiatives on behalf of the CPO.
  • Shape a culture of ownership, consistency, and delivery excellence.

Benefits

  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance options
  • 100% employer-paid short- and long-term disability
  • Basic life insurance
  • 401(k) with 100% company match up to 4%
  • Flexible paid personal/vacation time built on mutual trust and accountability
