The position involves assisting the manager with the operation of the work area and providing direction and guidance to staff PSG Technicians. Responsibilities include scheduling patients and ordering CPAP equipment from DME companies based on physician prescriptions. The role requires comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders, which may involve polysomnography, diagnostic and therapeutic services, or patient education. The technician will set up and calibrate all polysomnographic recordings and monitoring equipment, apply sensors to patients, and initiate sleep recordings. Additionally, the technician will summarize data from polysomnographic recordings and provide routine cleaning and maintenance of laboratory equipment, ensuring the production of high-quality polysomnographic recordings and monitoring quality assurance indicators. The position also includes performing CPAP compliance clinic and CPAP acclimation clinic.
