About The Position

The Senior Project Manager for Distributed Generation Projects is responsible for managing the design and execution of Level 4 Distributed Generation interconnections, this includes distribution system, substation and transmission upgrades as required. The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for creating a collaborative environment with the Interconnections teams and the Planning teams. The Senior Project Manager will also work in partnership with the Schedule & Cost Control Manager to ensure that the project team manages and reports out schedules and costs to better manage program and project coordination.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Marine science or architecture with 7 years relevant experience required.
• Microsoft Suite.
• At least 5 years of project management experience.
• Fluent spoken and written English.
• Project management (individual projects).

• Negotiation/dispute resolution.

Responsibilities

• Responsibility includes managing team performance considering customer funded nature of the work the political environment, company operating efficiency, regulatory concerns, and operational coordination.
• Manages the team to optimize the work of internal staff and external contractors and other internal business areas.
• Holds contractors accountable for performance.
• Holds project team members accountable for program results.
• Provides strategic advice to senior management when required.
• Responsible for the overall project results.
