About The Position

This Sr. Plating Engineer position supports Plating Activities for our Southbridge, Massachusetts location. This role includes both individual hands-on laboratory activities and cross-functional team efforts.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in: Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, or a related field required; or 10 years practical experience
• Five or more years plating experience in R&D, manufacturing or product development preferred
• Good interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written, ability to produce publishable technical documents
• Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Power Point, etc.)
• Able to work in collaborative team environments
• 3D CAD modeling knowledge/Autodesk Inventor experience is a plus but not required
• U.S. Person or Permanent Residency required per government contract(s)

Responsibilities

• Drives stability and process improvements through measurement, detailed analysis and process controls
• Creates and maintains process work instructions and standard operating procedures
• Troubleshoots and solves process issues to ensure production targets are met
• Reviews, understands and meets customer quality requirements
• Responsible in the development, optimization, and documentation of new processes and equipment
