Keeping healthcare healthy can be as fun as it is rewarding CHG’s Engineering Division is looking for a Platform Engineer to join our Engineering Infrastructure Platform (EIP) team. The EIP team focuses on the following items: Automation of application engineering infrastructure that accelerates our engineers through adopting Cloud Native standards. Enabling the voice of the engineer through repeatable processes that accelerates the enterprise EIP engineering experience. As a Platform Engineer on the Platform Services you will report to the Platform Services Manager.

Requirements

  • Management of cloud resources, utilizing Infrastructure as Code (Iac) within other large enterprises
  • Current enterprise working knowledge of Application Container Orchestration
  • Knowledge of Agile working methodology within a software development enterprise
  • Enterprise experience of cloud providers, specifically AWS
  • Expertise in Infrastructure as Code, both at an enterprise level and a modular scale.
  • The ability to manage and implement cloud-native container orchestration using Kubernetes (EKS), including knowledge of its administration and implementation.
  • BS in Computer Science or related degree and/or certificates in related discipline (e.g. CKA, CKAD, TF, AWS etc.)
  • 5+ years’ proven experience as a Platform Engineer focusing on Engineering Infrastructure Platforms having strong affinity to the needs of software engineering teams and end-to-end SDLC processes.

Responsibilities

  • Builds, collaborates, and supports relationships between CHG teams by living its core values.
  • Understand the business strategy for engineering infrastructure capabilities and connect it to technical solutions.
  • Understands how to automate infrastructure needs in a "Cloud Native" architecture.
  • Proactively monitor and improve engineering infrastructure stack(s) with proper prioritization and collaboration.
  • Understands triaging of production applications and escalating when necessary.
