The Sr. Planning Analyst at Baylor St. Luke's Medical Center plays a crucial role in coordinating planning analytics across the assigned region. This position involves developing, structuring, and leading strategic data analysis, synthesizing data, and communicating insights that support the clinical portfolio. The analyst provides essential analytical support for strategic and business development planning projects, studies, and processes that are both quantitative and qualitative in nature, ensuring that local and system-wide strategic planning and business development requirements are met. In this role, the Sr. Planning Analyst will work closely with the assigned Region's Chief Strategy Officer and the administrative leadership team, under the guidance of the System VP of Strategic Intelligence. The analyst will be responsible for providing analytical models for assessing and forecasting, conducting special studies, market assessments, and competitive analyses. This includes performing quantitative analysis and justifying new business opportunities and capital projects, as well as preparing business case documents. The analyst will analyze both external and internal data sources and develop presentations to support senior-level decision-making. Additionally, the analyst will assist Marketing and Sales staff in identifying growth opportunities and tracking growth performance. The role requires running complex analyses, forecasts, and building databases and data models. The analyst will also conduct special research and data gathering to promote strategic planning and business development for the region and associated markets. Monitoring business plan results and progress against benchmarks will be essential to assess the need for recommended changes to strategy or measures. The synthesis and communication of analyses are key components of this position, as the analyst will present findings, insights, and recommendations to various forums, both verbally and in written formats. This includes producing reports, maps, graphs, and other visual displays. The analyst may also participate in strategic planning sessions and work to foster trust with organizational leadership and key stakeholders. Project support, including project management, will be provided to leadership in meeting system strategic planning and business development requirements, including various assessments and special ad hoc projects. The role also emphasizes the importance of developing a feedback loop between Strategic Planning and internal clients to ensure the relevance of analytics offerings, sharing initiatives across markets, and performing other duties as assigned by the manager.
