About The Position

As a Senior Demand Planner, you will play a pivotal role in driving business growth by developing and maintaining a robust forecasting process that accurately predicts customer demand. Your expertise will enable the organization to make informed decisions, optimize inventory levels, and ultimately, drive revenue growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply chain, Engineering, Business, Logistics, or related field
  • 3-5 years work or education in logistics, demand planning/forecasting, supply planning, or supply chain related areas
  • Proficiency in Excel and general knowledge of other MS Office applications required

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred APS knowledge (o9, JDA, or similar)
  • MBA preferred

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Marketing, Sales, and Finance) to gain a deep understanding of market trends, A&C programs, new product launches, pricing strategies, and promotional events to accurately forecast customer demand.
  • Lead the monthly consensus process, leveraging driver-based details to develop a forecast that achieves service metrics and inventory goals, while creating an accurate monthly financial forecast.
  • Champion the adoption and enhancement of o9 technology to drive improved model performance and autonomous planning capabilities.
  • Monitor and analyze weekly, monthly, and quarterly forecast errors and biases to identify contributing factors and adjust item and/or distribution center (DC) levels accordingly.
  • Conduct comprehensive brand and item mix analysis to provide actionable insights that inform volume discussions.
  • Develop expertise in brand volume forecasting by analyzing consumption and shipment trends, as well as category and industry dynamics.
  • Partner with Supply Planning to understand the supply chain implications of forecast changes and ensure seamless execution.
  • Develop and maintain a 2-year forecast by demand forecasting unit in the forecasting system, which informs manufacturing and deployment planning.
  • Provide timely updates to management on sales forecast details and key performance indicators.
  • Continuously improve the forecasting process to minimize forecast error and optimize results.
  • Share best practices and knowledge with peers and cross-functional teams to drive collaboration and excellence.
