Sr. Plan Analyst
About The Position
This is a great opportunity to work with a Major Government entity. Pay Rate: $22.00 Location: Houston, TX 77002 Schedule: Monday - Friday 8am to 5pm Job Duties: Review and process utility construction permit applications within infrastructure and development services. Review residential and commercial plans to include impact fee assessment within a web client - in accordance with ordinances, and state laws and regulations, review legal documents, surveys, site plans and plats. Daily correspondence with customers regarding the status of their application or plan review. Maintain collaboration with other sections, divisions and departments. Will Assist in creating reports, standard operating procedures and assist in special projects necessary.
Requirements
- Requires a related Associate's degree, such as Building Inspection, or the equivalent.
- May require a valid Texas driver's license and compliance with the City of Houston's policy on driving.
- Two years of skilled, journey level experience in building trades, inspection or plan examining in the area of analysis to be performed are required.
- Two additional years of skilled, journey level experience in building trades, inspection or plan examining in the area of analysis to be performed may be substituted for the above degree requirement.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft word, excel, teams, outlook, and adobe.
- Have superb customer service experience via phone / in-person / email.
- Great writing and critical thinking skills, for document analysis.
- Able to read and interrelate surveys, utility site plans, GIS / mapping systems.
- Strong problem-solving abilities.
