About The Position

The Senior Physical Security Professional’s is a seasoned physical security professional with industry leading certifications and broader responsibilities to include items such as system ownership, program leadership, and ad hoc projects. The Senior Physical Security Professional is part of the Physical Security group whose primary duty is to protect teammates, clients, and assets through administration of proactive and reactive security protocols. This includes conducting assessments, drafting recommendations and mitigating risks to Truist. Responds to significant incidents and coordinates with law enforcement and key stakeholders to resolve security concerns and promote crime prevention initiatives. Ensure successful implementation of security deliverables in accordance with company standards and industry best practices. The position is responsible for one or more major critical facilities, requiring visibility as the security POC, and the ability to interact frequently with senior leaders at the site. THIS POSITION WILL BE IN-OFFICE 5 DAYS A WEEK

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and related training or experience
  • Seven or more years experience in bank operations, security consulting, facility project coordination, law enforcement with emphasis on crime prevention or comparable work experience.
  • Industry Certifications to include one or more of the following: ASIS Physical Security Professional (PSP) or ASIS Certified Protection Professional (CPP).
  • Ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Analyze possible solutions using experience, judgment and precedents. Work without direct supervision.
  • Demonstrated strong verbal/written communication and ability to communicate complex information in straight forward manner in an administrative capacity.
  • Demonstrated proficiency to learn multiple software applications and advanced Microsoft Office software products.
  • Ability to travel when needed on short notice for up to a week.

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced degree in Business Administration, Security Management, or equivalent education and related training or experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience
  • Multiple security related certifications (i.e. ASIS Physical Security Professional, Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design)

Responsibilities

  • Respond to significant incidents, evaluate risks and mitigation factors involving Truist teammates, clients and assets in an assigned geographical area. Make modifications or recommendations to reduce risk exposure of future crimes or life safety risk factors.
  • Lead and coordinate physical security response to physical security, crime control, and life safety directly affecting the general business operations at Truist. Of which includes evaluating, documenting and correcting risk exposure identified in all facilities.
  • Drive adherence to and improvement of Physical Security’s systems, policies, procedures and controls.
  • Establish and lead positive working relationships between peers and managers as well as clients, investigators, vendors, and other internal partners. Required to maintain confidentiality when consulting with business partners as it pertains to recommendations to reduce crime or limit losses.
  • Liaison with local, state, and federal law enforcement authorities for significant incidents affecting the general business operations of Truist.
  • 24/7 availability including on-call responsibility.
  • Administer training sessions at bank facilities to include security policies, equipment operations, emergency preparedness, and security awareness.
  • Working knowledge of deployment, operation, and decommission of security equipment at facilities. Apply key business processes and practical experience to solve a range of significant, confidential, and impactful matters.
  • Act as a subject matter expert and mentor to peers.
  • Maintain tactical physical security objectives while simultaneously driving strategic decision making, goal setting and reporting.
