About The Position

This position contributes to the mission of the Lakewood Ranch Medical Center and the goals of the department by obtaining and/or assisting in the processing of laboratory specimens to facilitate the production of quality results. The job involves performing LIS / computer operations and clerical functions as needed, along with other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Graduate of an accredited Phlebotomy certificate program preferred
• At least 2 years of active phlebotomy experience required
• Possess current skills in the required areas
• Phlebotomy Certificate from an accredited phlebotomy program
• National Certification with recognized organizations (ASCP, AMT, ASPT, NCA)
• Communication and interpersonal skills
• Basic computer skills
• Customer service skills

Responsibilities

• Obtaining and processing laboratory specimens
• Performing LIS / computer operations
• Carrying out clerical functions as needed
• Assisting in the production of quality results
• Completing other duties as assigned
