The Sr. Payroll Technical Analyst will provide analytical, technical, and systems support to the payroll department. This role involves ensuring accurate payroll processing, filing payroll tax returns, and maintaining payroll systems. The analyst will also be responsible for customer service, communication with management and staff, and the implementation of new procedures and system enhancements.

  • Provide analytical, technical, and systems support to the payroll department.
  • Analyze PTO liability at employee detail level each month to ensure company accuracy.
  • Identify, research, and correct reconciling items within the month end following an interface.
  • Follow restart/recovery procedures and notify on-call support for timely problem resolution.
  • Perform unit testing, parallel testing, and system testing in coordination with HRIS and IS.
  • Monitor Payroll System for accurate and timely testing of additions/changes.
  • Ensure compliance with payroll practices and legislation.
  • Perform system audits to payroll processing and enhancements.
  • Ensure timely and accurate filing and mailing of W-2's and quarterly tax returns.
  • Provide training and support to Payroll Specialists.
  • 3 Years payroll experience, including the filing of payroll tax returns.
  • 3 Years experience working with payroll systems, including analyzing information systems.
  • Experience with complex data processing systems for research and maintenance.
  • Experience filing payroll tax returns and performing payroll processing functions.
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, computer science, or related; or 4 years of relevant experience may substitute for degree.
  • Healthcare industry experience.
  • Experience with an in-house system.
