A Senior Payroll Systems Analyst is a specialized role within the payroll department that focuses on the technical aspects of payroll processing and systems. This position combines expertise in payroll regulations with a deep understanding of payroll software and technology.

  • Oversee and maintain the payroll/timekeeping systems, ensuring they are up-to-date, efficient, and compliant with relevant regulations.
  • Act as mergers and acquisitions lead.
  • Act as the subject matter expert for the payroll/timekeeping software and related tools, providing guidance and support to the payroll team.
  • Train payroll team and end-users on the effective use of payroll/timekeeping systems and tools.
  • Manage data integration between payroll systems and other HR or financial software, ensuring seamless data flow.
  • Review, troubleshoot, and resolve integration errors by doing several daily reviews of the integration files between Workday, ADP Vantage, and Kronos as well as third party vendors for benefits, LOA, tax filing, garnishments, etc.
  • Configure payroll/timekeeping software settings to accommodate complex payroll scenarios, such as multi-state tax set up, departments, locations, pay elements.
  • Conduct thorough testing of payroll/timekeeping system updates or changes to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Create, test and produce advanced payroll reports and analytics to support cross functional business partners and third party vendors.
  • Provide all necessary data for analysis and compliance requirements for internal and external business partners.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical payroll system issues promptly and effectively.
  • Identify opportunities for process automation and optimization to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Keep management informed of changes and/or updates of payroll/timekeeping laws and regulations.
  • Ensure payroll/timekeeping systems are updated accordingly to avoid class action lawsuits and other governmental audits.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • CPP or FPC Certification.
  • 4-6 years Experience in Payroll acting as a Technical Analyst.
