About The Position

We're excited to announce a dynamic opportunity for a Sr. Payroll Analyst to join our growing team! This role offers the flexibility and convenience of fully remote work, allowing you to contribute from anywhere in the United States. The Sr. Payroll Analyst is responsible for accurately processing multi-state, biweekly payroll while ensuring full compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. This role manages complex payroll activities including equity compensation, reconciliations, tax filings, and period-end close, and partners closely with Finance, PB&C, and IT to resolve issues and support audits.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in business, Finance, or Accounting.
  • 8+ years of relevant and progressive payroll experience with strong hands-on expertise in Multi state payroll regulations, wage and hour laws and tax requirements.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office, ADP Vantage, ADP Smart Compliance, Workday and Oracle timekeeping systems.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Understanding of accounting, taxation, and finance concepts as it relates to payroll.
  • Adaptable to a fast-changing work environment; able to deliver accurate and on-time payroll regardless of the circumstances.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment.
  • Attention to detail, organized and thorough with the desire for continuous improvement.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of tax requirements in all 50 States + Guam is preferred.
  • CPP or FPC Certified is a plus.
  • Familiarity with internal audits and SOX compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Process multi-state, biweekly payroll, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and full regulatory compliance.
  • Process and reconcile equity compensation transactions reported as ordinary income through payroll, including year-to-date wage reconciliations.
  • Review, audit, and validate payroll entries to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with company policies and applicable laws.
  • Review and respond to payroll-related correspondence, including tax notices and agency letters.
  • Assist with establishing and maintaining new account registrations with federal, state, and local agencies.
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal payroll laws, tax filings, and reporting requirements.
  • Partner with the General Ledger team on payroll reconciliations and investigate variances in a timely manner.
  • Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end payroll close activities including vacation accruals.
  • Perform payroll reconciliations and prepare ad hoc reports to support audits, management requests, and payroll-related projects.
  • Assist with quarterly and year-end payroll tax filings and reconciliations.
  • Perform other duties and special projects assigned, contributing to the overall success of the payroll function.
