About The Position

The Senior Patient Care Technician works under the direction of a Registered Nurse. This role involves performing direct patient care such as bathing, assisting with elimination, bed making, and vital signs. The technician is also responsible for transporting patients and patient-related materials in a safe, timely, and professional manner. Other duties include greeting and orienting patients to the patient care area, performing meal service and feeding assistance functions, and providing additional select care to patients. The position requires collaboration with other team members to perform other services as directed.

  • High School diploma or GED required
  • Ability to use a computer for documentation and work related purposes
  • Strong written, verbal and nonverbal interpersonal and professional communication skills are required

  • Demonstrates ability to prioritize, organize and multi-task
  • Able to take direction well, but also be self-directed and motivated
  • Requires a high degree of responsibility and responsiveness
  • Deal effectively with patients, visitors, situations, and other Care Team members, while maintaining emotional control
  • Must be able to lift
  • Must be available for one week of full-time training
  • Three (3) months of Clinical Experience or CNA license required OR currently enrolled in Nursing school
