About The Position

Stony Point Baptist Church (Stony Point, NC) is prayerfully seeking a humble man of bold faith in Christ Jesus to be our full-time Sr Pastor. Established in 1909, we are a Southern Baptist Church and affirm the Baptist Faith and Message 2000, with an average attendance of ~90. Our congregation loves the Lord and seeks to glorify Him through an active children's ministry and community initiatives. We believe the Lord will call a leader, capable both in pulpit proclamation and pastoral care - conforming to the qualifications for the office in 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:5-9.

Requirements

• Demonstrable commitment to the great commission and disciple making for Jesus.
• Ability to conform to the qualifications for the office in 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:5-9.

Responsibilities

• Lead the pulpit ministry, including Sunday worship and Wednesday night Bible Study.
• Oversee the administrative duties of the church.
• Delegate duties to church staff and committees.
• Shepherd the congregation through visitations and counseling.
