About The Position

The Senior Partner Relations Associate (SPRA) plays a crucial role in supporting Starbucks' retail store managers across the U.S. and Canada by consulting on employee relations and performance management. This position serves as a balanced advocate for both partners (employees) and managers, ensuring that partner concerns are addressed fairly and consistently while interpreting company policies and procedures. The SPRA is expected to work primarily within the Pacific Time Zone and contribute to enhancing the partner experience through collaboration and effective case management.

Requirements

  • B.A. or B.S. in Business, Psychology, Education, Communication, or related field.
  • 4 years of Human Resources generalist or related operations leadership experience with a focus on employee relations.
  • 1 year of consulting experience with internal clients to identify business needs and recommend solutions.
  • Knowledge of human resources management principles and practices.
  • Familiarity with local, federal, and state employment laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide consultation and support to retail field leaders on performance management and employee relations issues.
  • Act as an advocate for partners by listening to their ideas, questions, and concerns, and resolving workplace issues.
  • Collaborate with peers and partner relations professionals to ensure consistent application of policies and procedures.
  • Manage a workload of Partner Relations cases, ensuring timely responses and detailed documentation.
  • Participate in projects aimed at improving the partner experience and driving efficiency.
