About The Position

To recommend, implement and ensure policies and procedures for uniform compliance with processing of this account at all clearance locations. Monitor and control operational activities ensuring consistent and uniform processing by developing reports and reporting methods, writing procedures and resolving customer and technical issues. Initiate and responds to executives, managers and senior advisors on issues regarding all aspects of T&B customer partnerships, including contractual agreements, customer requirements, services offered and quality assurance. Assist with the direction and success of the multifunctional brokerage operations, including development and growth of customer accounts globally. Analyze and assess compliance with U.S. Customs and other government agencies laws and regulations. Coordinate the opening of all new clearance facilities. This is accomplished by assisting in the design of the office layout, organizing the implementation team and introducing the participants accountable for ordering furniture and equipment, scheduling meetings with U.S. Customs and other government agencies for the introduction of T&B and the initiation of policy and procedure with these agencies. Included in the coordination for the opening are the security issues with the hub facility, the development and implementation of T&B policies and procedures and the development and scheduling of all customer and T&B training requirements. Coordinate the development and implementation of new services offered to customers. Identify areas requiring improvement and coordinate processes to ensure productivity gains to expedite federal express freight. Maintain relationship with U.S. Customs at all clearance locations to ensure customers are responding adequately to customs requirements and that we are properly representing customer interests. Identify and coordinate training needs required for operations at all locations. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • College business degree or equivalent business experience.
  • Individual customs broker's license.
  • Five year's experience in the field/industry required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to develop and maintain effective relationships with customers, government agencies, staff and management.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of U.S. Customs and other federal agency laws, regulations and procedures governing the customs brokerage industry.
  • Strong organizational and writing skills to develop and maintain corporate policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrated presentation skills required to lead or assist in the development, negotiations or status reporting of this account
