What You Will Do: The Operations Manager is responsible for driving extraordinary performance in all success areas: Environmental, Health & Safety, quality, delivery, cost, and cultivating employee engagement. Lead Production Control Teams, supervisors of union production mechanics, and union employees Ensuring the full compliance of company policies and procedures. Supports deployment of Operations strategy and metrics to accurately measure progress, drive continuous improvement and improve on-time delivery. Coach team on processes and development in their careers. Conduct live Tier walks at shift changeover Hold employees accountable while maintaining a key working relationship Lead the effort to develop and implement process improvements and cost reductions utilizing CORE best practices and processes

Requirements

  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years prior relevant experience.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Planning and Production Control in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience leading daily team operations.
  • Previous Planning and Production Control, Demand Planning, Supply Planning, as well as Inventory Management in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience leading teams in cost reduction/process improvement initiatives
  • Previous experience interfacing, collaborating, and communicating with all levels of an organization to accomplish tasks.
  • Experience with hiring, staffing planning, or budget management
