Job Description: This job is responsible for managing a unit for a site, region, or product line within the bank's internal operations. Key responsibilities include identifying, analyzing, and resolving highly complex problems, ensuring compliance with policies, and developing and implementing new processes to improve operating efficiency and ensure accuracy of workflow. Job expectations include managing employee performance, development, talent planning, and overseeing the budget, expenses, reporting, and forecasting. Line of Business Role Description: Manages a medium-large segment or unit(s) of a product line and/or function of the company's operations activities. Functions managed typically have a high degree of monetary exposure due to transaction size and critical daily production windows which can impact client relationships. Oversees daily activities and ensures adherence to procedures and regulatory requirements (e.g. transaction research). Develops and implements new processes/procedures to improve operating efficiency and to ensure timeliness and accuracy of workflow. Reviews and recommends new methods and procedures to make daily operations in the areas more efficient. Manages performance for their entire team, including Associate development, compensation decisioning, and talent planning. Responsible for expense management, reporting and forecasting. Requires general knowledge of managing an operations area and may be used as a primary contributor in a variety of projects. Leads and directs the work of others and ensures staffing levels and capacity are appropriate to meet production requirements. Manages client, business and/or supplier relationships. Six Sigma/Lean experience preferred. Incumbents normally have 2-4 years of operational management experience. Directly manages 4-12 associates and has a department of 40 - 100 associates and may cover multiple shifts/sites.

Requirements

  • Prior Leadership and Coaching experience within past 2 years
  • Prior experience in Commercial Lending (administration, commercial loan system processing)
  • LoanIQ experience within the past 3 years
  • Strong motivator with a proven track record of coaching and developing employees
  • Effective in employee engagement activities
  • Able to manage staffing levels to the volume of production and meet daily processing requirements
  • Leads employees to exceed client expectations, making it simple for them to do business with our company and delivering with speed and accuracy
  • Tactical execution coupled with conceptual thinking results oriented
  • Ability to identify and mitigate risk
  • Aggressively monitor exceptions (processing, reconciliation, past dues, client and business partner escalations, etc.) to ensure results are resolved timely and within established tolerance levels
  • Quick learner with aptitude and ability to adjust to change
  • Strong analytical skills ability to focus on details, identify issues, respond quickly to urgent or emergency situations, prioritize quickly and recommend solutions

Responsibilities

  • Manages staffing levels and capacities, prioritizes employee development by providing effective coaching and training, and shares constructive feedback to drive Operational Excellence
  • Oversees end-to-end processes and ensures adherence to bank and regulatory policy and procedures when making decisions that impact various operations and product lines
  • Develops and analyzes procedures to enhance unit and/or product-related activities and oversees budget and expense management, reporting, and forecasting for designated areas
  • Implements improvements to drive the growth to the overall processes and identifies data, metrics, and key performance indicators to measure process effectiveness
  • Aligns bank priorities and strategies to employee metrics and goals, evaluates employee progress, and strives to recognize, encourage, and improve team performance to support an inclusive work environment
