About The Position

Based in Reno, NV, the Sr. Operations Manager (AGM) position supports the Logistics operation by managing all assigned work streams in a 700,000+ square foot facility. The Sr. Operations Manager will also serve in a capacity of accountability and mentoring of all Associate Managers and Department Managers. Further, the role provides analysis, alternatives, recommendations, implementation plans, and oversight of inbound initiatives focused on maintaining and improving safety, regulatory compliance, and production & productivity integrity. This position will report directly to the Site Director and will have responsibility for managing a team of 250+ FTEs and 10+ leaders. This role will focus on various operational groups and for cross-over support is expected for all departments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree; or equivalent training, education and applicable experience.
  • Experience in implementing and managing an operation within a senior level of leadership.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in large scale supply chain or manufacturing operations.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience supervising personnel.
  • Experienced with WMS and ERP systems.
  • Expert in Excel.

Responsibilities

  • Direct, lead and coach a team of associate managers as well as interface with managers of other departments and ensure an efficient, fully utilized operation.
  • Work with Operational Managers and Associate Managers to set daily/weekly/monthly/yearly department goals.
  • Develop and direct the implementation of goals, objectives, policies, procedures and work standards where applicable for assigned programs.
  • Maintain a high level of employee morale and integrity in the department through positive motivation, development, and training.
  • Evaluate and benchmark (gap analysis) existing plant procedures/practices/performance measures versus internal & external industry specific benchmarks.
  • Develop detailed planning to control inbound departmental elements, including spending, staffing, etc.
  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with all policies and procedures relating to safety, quality, regulatory, environmental and human resources.
  • Collaborate with supplies/purchasing teams to identify and negotiate purchase of needed components, equipment and contract services.
  • Oversight of maintenance cost center and accountability to ensure all maintenance objectives are completed on time and within budget/forecast.
  • Assess and document success/failure of completed work orders, creating feedback to further drive effective work order execution.
  • Manage inbound projects from concept to implementation, including personnel oversight, sketching, reviewing detailed drawings, vendor negotiations, supervising contractors, and documenting final results.
