About The Position

As a Senior Operations Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting strategic initiatives by partnering with Grainger stakeholders and suppliers to deliver seamless, efficient procurement experiences. Leveraging best-in-class processes and industry-leading practices, you will act as a subject matter expert and thought leader, applying end-to-end critical thinking to optimize procurement standards. With a continuous improvement mindset, you will define and enhance processes that elevate operational excellence. This role reports directly to the Procurement Manager.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of experience in Supplier Management, Operations Management, Logistics Management or related experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office functionality (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerBI Access dB, PowerPoint) and Smartsheet’s
  • Proficiency in SQL for data extraction, transformation, and analysis or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain automated reporting and dashboard solutions, leveraging data analysis to identify trends and deliver actionable insights that drive procurement strategies and informed business decisions.
  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders to support procurement objectives, maintaining effective communication channels to ensure alignment, accountability, and collaboration.
  • Manage operational maintenance processes and drive continuous improvement initiatives to ensure Grainger operations run efficiently.
  • Act as procurement systems subject matter expert, supporting system functionality, configuration and optimization to ensure effective procurement operations.
  • Resolve complex procurement workflows and provide operational support across key business areas.
