About The Position

The position provides clerical and administrative support to the human resources (HR) department. The role involves supporting the Package Handler talent acquisition process, including scheduling interviews, monitoring background checks, and providing applicant tracking system support. The individual will also assist with Non-Package Handler hiring by preparing interview guides and managing necessary documentation. Customer service is a key component, as the role requires interaction with both internal and external customers regarding HR-related processes. Additionally, the position involves maintaining personnel files, auditing HR paperwork, generating reports, and participating in special projects such as job fairs and retention events. The role also includes clerical support for various management functions, data entry, and customer service responsibilities related to operational and quality assurance functions.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Three (3) years of experience in HR clerical support or related area.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software and web-based applications.
  • General business skills such as typing, data entry, and use of office equipment.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and operate standard equipment.
  • Knowledge of HR administration policies and procedures.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Time management, organizational, and multi-tasking skills.
  • Ability to analyze, review, and make recommendations.
  • Ability to mentor and coach other employees.

Responsibilities

  • Provides support for the Package Handler talent acquisition process.
  • Supports Non-Package Handler hiring through preparing interview guides and managing documentation.
  • Provides customer service and support for HR-related processes.
  • Maintains personnel files for all employees.
  • Audits, reviews, and processes human resources paperwork and forms.
  • Generates, compiles, and distributes HR reports.
  • Participates in special projects, including job fairs and retention events.
  • Provides clerical support to management and operational functions.
  • Reviews, researches, and enters data in various systems.
  • Compiles data and provides reports to management.
  • Serves as frontline customer service for inquiries and issues.
  • Assists management with Business Control Self-Assessment (BCSA) audit activity.
  • Supports timely delivery and mitigates loss and damage of packages.
  • Reviews and enters Independent Contractor (IC) settlement information.
  • Compiles documentation for Department of Transportation (DOT) files.
  • Tracks metrics related to IC charge back program and prepares reports.
