About The Position

Performs all nuclear medicine examinations that create the images needed for diagnosis; and integrates scientific knowledge and technical skills with effective patient interaction to provide quality patient care and useful diagnostic information.

Requirements

• Associate's Degree in Radiologic Sciences and/or Nuclear Medicine Technology or equivalent education
• ARRT Registry or NMTCB Certification in Nuclear Medicine Technology or registry-eligible and NJDEP Nuclear Medicine License
• Knowledge and skill to perform nuclear medicine examinations; and ability to integrate scientific knowledge and technical skills to effectively interact with all patients to provide quality patient care and useful diagnostic information.

Nice To Haves

• 1-2 years nuclear medicine technology experience

Responsibilities

• Maintain high degree of accuracy and quality in patient positioning, machine set-up, radiopharmaceutical administration, image acquisition and post-processing.
• Follow all National Patient Safety Goals.
• Provide recordkeeping of patient history and symptoms, dose administration, machine quality control and radiation surveys.
• Review orders, explain procedure, answer questions and provide a high level of patient satisfaction.
• Maintains cleanliness of department and assures adequate supply inventory.
