About The Position

The Sr. NodeJS Software Engineer role is primarily focused on building back-end services on the TDCS side and collaborating with cross-functional teams including DevOps, Testing, and Production Operations. The TSCS is an internally developed platform that enables targeted delivery on customer-facing video, mobile, connectivity, and self-service support applications.

Requirements

• 8+ years of full stack development experience.
• Proficiency in NodeJS.
• Experience with AWS.
• Knowledge of REST APIs.
• Familiarity with GIT.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Python.
• Knowledge of TypeScript.

Responsibilities

• Develop back-end logic, definition and maintenance of the database and maintaining the best possible performance, quality and responsiveness of the application.
• Work closely with front-end developers to implement their components into the application.
• Design, develop, and maintain software solutions using Node.js and its packages/ecosystem.
• Collaborate in a microservices architecture environment to enhance and build reliable REST components.
• Implement and maintain robust non-relational databases including Cassandra and MongoDB.
• Develop and integrate automated unit tests and utilize testing platforms to ensure high-quality software solutions.
• Work extensively within the AWS environment to leverage various services for optimized application performance.
• Utilize Git for version control in a collaborative team setting.
• Participate in all phases of agile development methodologies.
• Analyze complex software issues and implement effective solutions.
• Communicate clearly and effectively with team members and stakeholders.
