About The Position

Abacus Technology is seeking a Sr. Network Support Specialist to provide network and infrastructure support for Langley AFB. This is a full-time position.

Requirements

• 6+ years experience in a network support role.
• Associate’s degree in a related field. Additional work experience may be substituted for degree requirements.
• Must be Security+ CE certified.
• Hands-on experience with physical network infrastructure (switches, routers).
• Experience with network implementation and maintenance.
• Knowledge of Cisco routers and switches.
• Able to maintain current knowledge and skills through in-services, workshops, and/or seminars.
• Demonstrate flexibility in adjusting to variable workload and job duties.
• Able to interact professionally with all levels of an organization.
• Must be a US citizen and hold a current Secret clearance.
• Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, test, troubleshoot, and evaluate existing network systems, such as local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), and Internet systems.
• Perform network maintenance to ensure networks operate correctly with minimal interruption.
