  • Instructs, advises, and mentors personnel on established standards and provides technical expertise and guidance.
  • Develops design specifications for network topologies, electronics, and distribution systems.
  • Plans, organizes, and directs the activities of assigned staff, including selection and training.
  • Directs and performs troubleshooting to identify root causes of business-impacting events.
  • Configures and deploys network management tools to monitor network capacity.
  • Develops timelines and translates project phases into discrete work orders for execution.
  • Provides on-call coverage for network interruptions and maintains an inventory of network components.
  • Participates in quality improvement projects and leads initiatives in modern technologies.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelor's degree in related discipline preferred.
  • 7 years of related experience required or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience working with large enterprise-wide LAN/WAN environments preferred.
  • Familiarity with network electronics, including routers and switches required.
  • Familiarity with network management tools such as Intermapper and Cisco Prime Infrastructure required.
  • Knowledge of Ethernet concepts and network routing protocols such as OSPF and BGP required.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills required.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills required.
  • Thorough knowledge of TCP/IP protocols and addressing required.
  • Cisco CCNA or CCNP preferred.
