About The Position
The Sr. Network Engineer position at the Salk Institute is responsible for leading the design, engineering, and administration of the Institute's LAN and Internet infrastructure. This role ensures 24/7 network operations, plans for upgrades and expansions, maintains software, secures the network, and provides customer support. The engineer will monitor industry developments, propose strategic projects, and lead a team to maintain daily operations, supporting advanced scientific instruments and high-volume data transfers.
