About The Position

This role involves managing and supporting enterprise switching environments (L2/L3), designing and deploying network architectures across core, distribution, and access layers. The engineer will troubleshoot network issues, perform root cause analysis, and configure/maintain various network protocols and features such as VLANs, STP, VRFs, QoS, and network segmentation. Responsibilities also include supporting hardware lifecycle, upgrades, and refresh activities, monitoring network performance with tools like Logic Monitor, and managing incidents, changes, and problems using ServiceNow. Collaboration with security, cloud, and wireless teams is essential, and there's an opportunity to assist with automation using Python or scripting tools. The position requires participation in a 24x7 on-call rotation.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in enterprise networking
  • Strong hands-on experience with Layer 2 & Layer 3 switching
  • Knowledge of LAN/WAN, routing protocols, DNS, DHCP, and IPAM
  • Experience with STP, VRFs, multicast, QoS, and HA protocols (HSRP/VRRP)
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools (SNMP, NetFlow, Syslog)
  • Experience in incident management and troubleshooting
  • CCNA or CCNP certification is required
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Python or network automation
  • Exposure to NetDevOps practices
  • Knowledge of tools/technologies like Aruba, Palo Alto, Infoblox, F5
