This position is for a Network Administrator within the Network Services organization supporting Kaiser Permanente's F5 Load Balancing infrastructure. Kaiser Permanente operates within an ITIL framework. This position will directly support aspects within the F5 Load Balancer Network Operations. Shift flexibility required and will include working nights, weekends, and holidays. Potential candidates submitting for this position must show the ability to think both critically, creatively, independently, cooperatively, be flexible and agile. Must possess the ability and self-confidence to adapt to rapid or major change, be curious with a desire to learn, can influence across the team and to champion change with a profound understanding of the importance of teamwork. Potential candidates must show strong technical engineering, operations skills, strong customer focus, excellent analytical problem solving, oral, telephone, written, and presentation communication skills. In addition to the responsibilities listed below, this position is responsible for a deep understanding of one or more networking technologies (Data Center networking, LAN, WAN, Voice, Wireless, TCP/IP protocols and services). Some of the unique challenges this position will face include working on a large scale network, across 1,000 sites with multiple data centers requiring 5 9s availability.
