Trident Consulting is seeking a 'Sr Network Design Engineer' for one of our clients in 'Dallas, TX'. This position involves designing, implementing, and maintaining the client's local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), and wireless network infrastructure. The role requires providing customer support to clients located across the globe and troubleshooting complex issues related to Cisco routing and switching infrastructure, Cisco Meraki, and legacy wireless infrastructure, as well as Palo Alto technologies and firewalls. The engineer will serve as the ultimate escalation point for critical network incidents and outages, leading response efforts and coordinating with cross-functional teams to minimize downtime. Additionally, the role includes providing technical leadership and guidance to the network services team, mentoring junior members, and promoting best practices. The engineer will also research and evaluate emerging technologies and create and maintain network documentation.
