The Sr. Network Cloud Solution Engineer will serve and support in a lead role as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) of Cloud Network Solutions. This position involves creating the design and leading the implementation of high priority network initiatives and projects in both cloud and hybrid-cloud models. The engineer will provide advanced expertise, support strategic planning, and serve as an advisor for network infrastructure and connectivity solutions to enable applications and data workloads to a hybrid-cloud based model. The role requires collaboration with leadership, enterprise business partners, vendors, and project teams, as well as developing documentation and tools to enable support organizations to resolve technical issues. The individual must have a thorough understanding of network infrastructure design, data center trends, and technologies, and how they strategically intersect with business requirements. This is a hybrid position requiring in-office presence at least three days per week.

  • Work closely with leadership to develop future plans, resource requirements, migrations strategies, and project schedules.
  • Develop presentations for Engineering and Architecture Review Boards.
  • Participate in potential refactoring, rebuild, or redesign required during Cloud or on-prem migrations.
  • Create requirements document, SOW, logical & physical network diagrams, and implementation plans to integrate in customers' environments.
  • Translate standardization of network (cloud & on-prem) product & service evaluation, testing, lab and mockup solutions as needed.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in the Hybrid Cloud enterprise & OT network journey encompassing ongoing architecture, design, planning, configuration, implementation, testing, and documentation.
  • Assign network integration projects and deployments and ensure solutions are delivered to meet business requirements.
  • Analyze and implement cloud network solutions at the component level, including hands-on configuration, troubleshooting, optimization, and metrics.
  • Maintain emerging cloud, on-prem, and network security technologies and trends to ensure technical knowledge and business acumen to optimize business strategy.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to less experienced team members and performance evaluations, career development feedback as necessary.
  • Design and development of network assessment, design, connectivity, and process for connecting to various network environments (cloud & on-prem).
  • Provide consulting, guidance and recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Conduct technical discovery sessions with vendors and customers.
  • Oversee and coordinate business projects, planning, maintenance, and network connectivity for one or more major Business Units.
  • Participate in the design, configuration, and deployment of new networks (cloud & on-prem) and assist with the migration of existing applications to new hosting platforms.
  • Provide advanced network analysis, design, consultation with leadership, project teams and end users to identify network runtime requirements and perform feasibility analysis on potential changes related to security and network architecture.
  • Design network components of cloud architecture for mission-critical applications and select advanced tools.
  • Consistently ensures high quality work within Cloud Network Architecture and provide support for other projects to review their work.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related discipline and 8+ years relevant experience in network communications, network planning, cloud computing, disaster/recovery, or 13+ years in comparable work experience.
  • Demonstrates mastery of Cloud Infrastructure services in practical applications of a difficult nature.
  • Possesses sufficient knowledge, training, and experience to be capable of successfully delivering services using advanced configuration tools.
  • Ability to leverage alternative perspectives and emerging technologies to deliver creative solutions.
  • Demonstrates the uppermost levels of expertise in applying IT best practices and resolving project issues in challenging and complex situations.
  • Advanced Design and troubleshooting of all layers of the OSI model.
  • Expertise in building a network security policy and knowledge of security weaknesses in network systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate others.
  • Experience as a team leader contributing to the effectiveness of requirements gathering.
  • Proficient in PowerShell, Ansible, or other appropriate scripting tool.
  • Ability to apply solutions against current security requirements and future industry trends.
  • Solid understanding of the capabilities of standard monitoring tools.
  • Network professional certification(s) such as Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), Check Point Certified Security Expert (CCSE), Prisma Certified Cloud Engineer (PCCE), or Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PANCNSE).
  • Proven experience in the design, architecture, and lifecycle management of Cisco data center networks.
  • Strong understanding of network protocols: BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, MPLS, STP, HSRP, VRRP.
  • Proficiency with Checkpoint, Palo Alto, and Cisco ASA firewalls, including log analysis and security compliance.
  • Proficiency in network monitoring and management tools (DNA Center, NDFC, NetFlow, Wireshark).
  • Tier 3 network level support - Ability to troubleshoot complex network issues and provide escalation-level support.
  • Relevant work experience in the Energy or Industrial sector.
  • Experience operating within a regulated environment to meet requirements and adherence to various regulatory programs.
  • Annual salary will vary based on a candidate's skills, qualifications, experience, and other factors: $137,600.00/Yr. - $189,200.00/Yr.
