The Superior Court of California, County of Alameda is accepting applications for the position of Senior Network Administrator. Under direction, this position is responsible for administering and leading the design, implementation, testing, and maintenance of the Court’s network and endpoint infrastructure to ensure secure, reliable, and efficient access to applications and systems. This role requires in-depth knowledge of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, local and wide area networks, and network communication protocols, as well as experience with modern network operating systems and platforms such as contemporary Windows, Linux, and cloud-integrated environments. The position also involves administering enterprise endpoint and device management platforms, endpoint protection and threat detection solutions, software deployment and automation tools, and operating system update and patch management processes. The Senior Network Administrator designs and supports networked environments; configures workstations; installs, maintains, and troubleshoots software and hardware; and implements enterprise-scale endpoint management and security solutions. The role requires the ability to diagnose and resolve complex hardware, software, and network issues; develop and maintain accurate technical documentation and procedures; and work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative IT team. Strong communication skills are essential, as the position regularly interacts with technical staff, judges, and Court personnel to provide clear, professional, and effective technical guidance and support. DISTINGUISHING FEATURES The Senior Network Administrator may lead a team of Network Administrators and is responsible for the diagnosis and resolution of more complex problems related to the local area networks and equipment in each court location. The current job vacancy is assigned to the Office of Information Technology (OIT) at the East County Hall of Justice, located in Dublin, CA and may require traveling to other Court locations to meet operational needs.
