About The Position

Alpha Omega is seeking a highly skilled Sr .Net ASP Developer for a Remote position on one of our prime Federal projects in Arlington, VA. The ideal candidate has previous experience working with federal and large commercial clients, financial, insurance and banking with a strong emphasis on user experience, usability, client interaction, customer satisfaction, and a clear understanding of new and emerging technologies.

Requirements

  • BS/BA in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, or similar degree.
  • Federal agency requires US Citizenship.
  • Proficient communication, facilitation, mediation, and verbal and written communication skills to be demonstrated upon interview.
  • Client-facing skills are required.
  • 6+ years of experience in Microsoft legacy environment, ASP (Classic/Native), VB.NET, DLLs, COM+.
  • Must have experience with Azure cloud environment, IIS Server on VMs.
  • Experience with Active Directory, ADFS and Azure Entra.
  • Experience with GitHub Enterprise, Azure DevOps, Microsoft TFS and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Must have experience with SQL Server.
  • Must have Experience with Stored Procedures and SSIS Packages.
  • Possess high attention to detail with ability to follow detailed Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Experience in solving complex business issues- strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Must have excellent time management and task prioritization skills.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Full stack development experience.
  • Experience working directly with technical and business teams.
  • Experience with Java and Spring boot is plus.
  • Knowledge of SDLC, IT governance and operations.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of hardware, software, and application dependencies.

Responsibilities

  • Support Mission Critical complex large scale application development and maintenance.
  • Provide Tier 3 support for public facing applications.
  • Design and develop quick prototypes.
  • Develop documentation throughout the software development life cycle.
  • Upgrading, configuring and debugging existing systems.
  • Provide development support on-premises application.
  • Participate on an agile O/M team.
  • Revise, update, refactor and debug code.
  • Serve as an expert on applications and provide technical support.
