MTI has an immediate opportunity for a talented Model-Based Systems Engineer. This role will be our SME for MBSE efforts within our small team located in Detroit, MI. This position will be responsible for understanding the program's modeling approach and standards, style, etc. Will follow the laid out guidelines and incorporate Human-Systems Integration into the team environment. This position will need to be highly collaborative with a penchant for being proactive in engaging team members, as they will be the integration point for the project. Functional Responsibilities: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. · You will be part of a cross-functional Agile team working with other engineers and designers, emphasizing human engineering aspects such as human modeling, the impact of human performance on system performance, and human system integration requirements · Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) using Cameo/MagicDraw and SysML to model system requirements, architecture, functionality, components, and behavior · Be the primary interface to systems engineering for human engineering teams (e.g. HSI, UX, Training, Safety teams); collaborate with these teams to incorporate human engineering aspects into the model · Work independently on complex tasks, collaborate with peers to achieve project objectives, and mentor junior systems engineers · Support activities across the engineering lifecycle such as requirements analysis, functional allocation, interface management, trade studies, verification, and validation; develop and maintain systems engineering artifacts such as analyses, ICDs, plans, reports, etc. · Collaborate effectively with other teams and customer representatives, support major and minor system review events
