About The Position
A Sr Mobile Inspector functions as a member of the Manheim Express team for a designated region with the primary responsibilities of providing accurate and complete documentation of overall vehicle condition within the parameters of a Manheim Express Inspection. This role requires the inspector to locate, start, move, inspect, and return vehicles on dealer's lots safely. The inspector will conduct a thorough assessment of vehicle condition following the Manheim Express Inspection process, ensuring that all vehicle identification is verified and accurate information is entered into the inspection system, including the correct VIN, mileage, and sub-series. The inspector is responsible for inspecting vehicle equipment and options, documenting results including any damage, missing, or inoperable items. They will also inspect and record the vehicle's exterior condition, which includes tires, frame, glass, panels, and mechanical components, as well as the interior condition, including seats, dashboard, and options. Basic mechanical checks on vehicles, including powertrain, drivetrain, and electrical components, are also part of the job. As a solid team player, the Sr Mobile Inspector will work closely with teammates, field sales, and customer care to create a superior customer experience. They will utilize SalesForce.com for reporting, lead input, and customer performance reviews, and will inform and educate dealers of changes in auction policies and procedures. The inspector will partner with clients to inspect vehicles at their location and actively seek to increase inventory. Safety is a priority, and the inspector must visibly demonstrate a commitment to safety by following all health procedures and participating in safety activities. Other duties may be assigned as needed.
