About The Position

The Manager/Senior Manager of Strategic Planning is responsible for shaping and guiding the long-term network strategies that drive profitability, and competitive advantage for our airline. This role is a high impact role and requires strong cross-functional collaboration, deep industry knowledge, and the ability to distill complex data into actionable strategies that align with our business objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Aviation, Engineering, a related field or equivalent experience.
  • 4-6 years experience in airline network planning, scheduling, consulting, or corporate strategy (at least 2 years in a leadership capacity).
  • Deep understanding of the global aviation industry, network planning methodologies, and airline economics.
  • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills; proficiency in Excel, and planning tools.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence without direct authority.
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with experience presenting to senior leadership.
  • High level of business acumen, creativity, and strategic thinking.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the formulation and execution of long-term network strategies that support the airline’s vision and financial goals.
  • Evaluate new and existing domestic and international markets using traffic, revenue, cost, and competitive data to identify strategic opportunities.
  • Work closely with Capacity Planning and Operations to optimize aircraft deployment and utilization across the network.
  • Collaborate with Scheduling and Operations teams to align schedule design with strategic objectives, and future outlook.
  • Develop and evaluate multiple strategic scenarios considering macroeconomic trends, competitor activity, and regulatory changes.
  • Leverage internal and external data sources to produce actionable insights for leadership and influence strategic decision-making.
  • Prepare and present strategic recommendations and reports to executive leadership, clearly articulating trade-offs, risks, and business implications.
  • Partner with Commercial, Revenue Management, Operations, and Finance to ensure alignment across the enterprise.
  • Perform other job-related functions assigned.
