Depending on your location within the continental US, this role may be hybrid or remote. If you live within 50 miles of the Aflac offices located in Columbus, GA or Columbia, SC, this role will be hybrid. This means you will be expected to work in the office for at least 60% of the work week. You will work from your home (within the continental US) for the remaining portion of the work week. Details of this schedule will be discussed with your leadership.  If you live more than 50 miles from the Aflac offices located in Columbus, GA or Columbia, SC, this role will be remote. This means you will be expected to work from your home, within the continental US. If the role is remote, there may be occasions that you are requested to come to the office based on business need. Any requests to come to the office would be communicated with you in advance.

Requirements

  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills; demonstrated knowledge of complex business analysis
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a demonstrated ability to think critically and analytically
  • Strong group benefits (focus on Group Voluntary Benefits and Dental & Vision) insurance business expertise; demonstrated experiences in supporting distribution, underwriting, claims management, billing, contact center and other operational departments
  • Proficiency in process improvement techniques; diagnostic and creative problem-solving skills
  • Strong project planning and management skills, to include cost benefit analysis
  • Knowledge of employee relations to conduct and deal with employee issues in a proactive manner
  • Excellent presentation, oral, written, and interpersonal communications skills to effectively interact and negotiate with internal/external customers and senior management
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences
  • Ability to build strong relationships and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
  • Experience with analytics tools and platforms such as Tableau, Power BI, Python, or R
  • Bachelor’s degree in business Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, Business Management or a related field
  • 8+ years of professional job-related work experience
  • 5 years management experience
  • Proven track record of providing consultative leadership and driving business decisions

Responsibilities

  • Create and implement data & analytics programs that support Group Voluntary Benefits and Dental & Vision strategies and financial objectives
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to identify business challenges and opportunities that can be addressed through data analytics
  • Continuously assess outcomes of analytics use cases and solutions to make effective decisions, based on reducing cost, increasing revenue, and improving revenue margins as drivers of analytics value
  • Lead, motivate, and coach data and analytical associates to deliver value and advance analytics models over time
  • Effectively communicate the value of data and analytics to executive leadership team and other stakeholders
  • Develop and maintain key performance indicator dashboards, providing senior leadership with real-time visibility into business performance and trends
  • Provides mentorship and guidance to analytics team members, fostering their professional growth and development
  • Performs other duties as required
