Together, let's redefine what is possible in orbit and beyond! Terran Orbital is seeking an experienced Sr. Manufacturing Execution System (MES) Engineer to join our dynamic team. Reporting to the Director, IT Project & Compliance the Sr. Manufacturing Execution System (MES) Engineer will implement, maintain, and optimize Manufacturing Execution System software which is crucial to manage and monitor our production processes. This position will bring a deep understanding of Aegis FactoryLogix, Microsoft Dynamics 365, and PTC Windchill to immediately contribute to bridging the gap between IT and Manufacturing. The ideal location for this role is onsite in Irvine, CA, but we are open to hybrid or remote for the right candidates.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in MES, with a strong focus on Aegis FactoryLogix.
  • Proven track record of successful project delivery and the ability to architect robust and scalable solutions.
  • Expertise in all modules of FactoryLogix, including NPI, Production, Quality, Analytics, and Maintenance.
  • Strong technical proficiency, leadership, and excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Ability to discover and define problem statements, evaluate solution options, and make recommendations.
  • Experience in creating detailed design, architecture, and process artifacts, and implementing deployment plans.
  • Proven track record of helping clients adapt to a changing global landscape.
  • Ability to provide value-adding consulting solutions to clients by leveraging knowledge transfer.
  • Commitment to fostering a collaborative and diverse work environment.
  • Experience with IoT and cloud-based manufacturing solutions
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with project management concepts
  • U.S. Citizenship with ability to obtain and maintain DoD security clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and architecture of complex Aegis FactoryLogix solutions, ensuring alignment with business requirements, manufacturing processes, and IT infrastructure.
  • Develop comprehensive technical specifications, design documents, and integration strategies for FactoryLogix implementations.
  • Identify opportunities for system enhancements, process improvements, and automation within the FactoryLogix ecosystem.
  • Oversee and execute the full lifecycle implementation of Aegis FactoryLogix modules.
  • Configure and customize FactoryLogix to meet specific manufacturing needs, including routings, BOMs, work instructions, quality plans, and data collection.
  • Integrate FactoryLogix with other enterprise systems (ERP, PLM, MES, SCADA) using various integration methods (APIs, databases, middleware).
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to project teams, junior engineers, and stakeholders.
  • Mentor and train internal teams on Aegis FactoryLogix best practices, new features, and troubleshooting.
  • Lead complex troubleshooting efforts for FactoryLogix related issues, providing advanced technical support.
  • Develop and implement proactive monitoring and maintenance strategies for FactoryLogix systems.
  • Analyze existing FactoryLogix implementations to identify bottlenecks, performance issues, and areas for optimization.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for FactoryLogix configurations, processes, and integrations.
  • Establish and enforce best practices for FactoryLogix implementation, administration, and usage.
  • Stay abreast of the latest FactoryLogix features, updates, and industry trends.
  • Provide hands-on support during implementation phases, including blueprinting, prototyping, testing, data migration, go-live, and post go-live support.
  • Lead training workshops for end-users and IT teams to ensure smooth adoption and knowledge transfer.
  • Provide recommendations for continuous improvements and enhancements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including supply chain, operations, and Engineering, to ensure seamless integration of the manufacturing systems with other enterprise applications.
  • Act as a POC of the IT team on all FactoryLogix related topics and participate in all relevant meetings/workshops with respective stakeholders..
