About The Position

The Senior Meeting & Events Planner at CBRE is responsible for leading the successful execution of events, acting as the primary point of contact for clients and ensuring effective communication with the events operations team. This role involves managing the full scope of the planning process, coordinating logistics, and ensuring that all event requirements are met to deliver seamless event experiences.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience and/or training.
  • Experience in corporate or conference center management preferred.
  • Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a warm and engaging demeanor.
  • Ability to assess circumstances, empathize, and offer help.
  • Advanced analytical and quantitative skills to solve complex problems.
  • Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, SharePoint, OneNote, Outlook).
  • Ability to work in multiple software platforms and learn technical applications quickly.
  • Good organizational skills and ability to work well under pressure.
  • Flexibility to work varying schedules based on business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the complex master meeting and events calendar for medium to large sized event spaces.
  • Manage all communications and planning meetings with event staff, proactively planning logistics across the master calendar.
  • Handle each event as a project from planning through execution, including creating and leading detailed event planning timelines.
  • Participate in and/or lead planning calls, ensuring all event aspects comply with building safety and security regulations.
  • Coordinate with internal partners and outside vendors to manage client expectations.
  • Oversee food and beverage management, including menu planning and client consultations.
  • Act as the key contact for events, ensuring seamless delivery by the Meeting & Events operations team.
  • Capture post-event reporting and reconciliation, suggesting recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Support and provide informal guidance to junior team members.
  • Assist with budget creation for events and ensure budget adherence, including timely invoice requests and reviews.
