Job Summary This individual will direct and coordinate fabrication, installation, operation, application, maintenance and repair of mechanical or electromechanical machines, equipment, tools, engines and systems. Ensures that quality levels and industry standards are maintained or improved in the manufacturing process. Evaluates mechanical products to determine their cost effectiveness and efficiency. May evaluate in-process use and recommend design modifications to eliminate malfunctions. Supports development of mechanical components and subsystems for Solid Rocket Motors to include the case, liner, nozzle, igniter, case and system assembly and test. Evaluate designs for incremental improvement to ensure requirements are met.
